A teens guide to MGM by FutureImagineer
**might be a spoiler for some rides**
**Tower of Terror: You are visitors to a Hollywood Hotel that has been struck by lightening. You are first brought into the hotel library where the lights go off and the tv flickers on to tell the tale of the hotel. Everyone knows the story, lightening struck and 4 passengers dissappered into the twilight zone.. well then you enter the boiler room and board the "service elevators" for quite an experiance.. I won't spoil the ride but the 13 story drop is very cool.. you don't know whether you are going to be shot up or dropped down first and the sequence of drops is different every time you ride. I would pass this ride if you are afraid of the dark, afraid of sudden drops, or have health problems.
**Rockin' Roller Coaster: An absolute must do for any roller coaster fan.. you get to visit a special recording session of the band Aerosmith at G-Force records (where they're turning the music buisness upside down) but suddenly the band is rushed off to a concert but not before you're invited to come along. The doors of the studio open into an alley where you will board a SUPER strech limo for your ride. You turn the corner and are blasted at 60 mph into an awesome ride to the concert aerosmith blaring in your ears the entire time.. When you arrive at the red carpet you'll be all smiles.. Pass on this if you have back or neck problems or don't like coasters obviously.
**Star Tours: This is a motion simulator based on the 4th episode of the star wars series.. this is a ride that's fun but needs updating. Pass on it if you get motion sick very easily. Oh and the thing outside of the ride.. i forget what it's called but it's a big robot shoots water out of it's cannons! it's cool!
**Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular: This is a show that is NOT to be missed. A demonstration of the stunts used in Indiana Jones movies you will literally be on the edge of your seat the entire time. Not to mention that there are some very funny parts in the show and if you want to be picked as an extra be sure to make a lot of noise.
**Backlot Tour: This starts out with a visit to th e special effects stage. The first time I went to disney it was all about demonstrating waves effects like the ones used in the perfect storm. It has been updated to show effects of Pearl Harbor now and it's really interesting. After watching the show you move to a tram and you embark for a ride around MGM's backlot area which includes a water tank building, a building with sets from movies, various vehicles from movies and even some movie house fronts.. finally you arrive at another special effects set shaped as a canyon. They say that no ones there when a flood starts and the truck near you catches on fire.. if you don't want to get wet sit on the right side.. Oh and the cars shake too cause of an earthquake.. it's really neat. Then when you arrive back to the station you are able to walk through a building with a lot of costumes from different MGM movies.
** Muppets 4D: This is an incredibly cute muppets 3d movie and it's a great place to escape from the heat. The effects are really cute and it's suitable for all ages. Even as a teenager I still like it.
**Who Wants to be a Millionare Play it: This is a version of the hit show who wants to be a millionare where the audience actually gets to play. Sadly no money is won here but it's another great place to get out of the heat and to have some fun too. The grand prize is a disney cruise and prizes are disney pins and hats and such.. it's a lot of fun for all ages
I might add more later but anyone else can chime in :)
