Today is the first day of the 2005 Hurricane Season which also marks the beginning of the summer rains in Central Florida and we have definitely started with a bang. Yesterday in some areas of Orlando, 3" to 5" of rain fell in about 3 hours and today is shaping to be another heavy rainy day. At least my lawn does not need watering this week  .
We have a thread with information about hurricanes in our Weather forum, you can find it here:

You can also find local information at the WESH 2 Weather Plus Website (http://www.wesh.com/hurricanes/index.html), which has now replaced OrlandoWeather.com which many of us found extremely useful during last year's hurricane season:

You will find other links related to weather in Central Florida in the Hurricane Information thread.
