Can anyone give me their opinion on the magic shows at Wonder Works and Skull Kingdom? I'm thinking of doing one of them but can't decide. My kids are 14, 11 and 7?
Cheers :wiggle:

I didn't realize they did a show at Skull Kingdom - I thought it was just a walk through 'Haunted House'. We're thinking about the Wonderworks dinner/magic show though so I'd be interested to see if anyone has been to it! :)
Thanks

The magic show at wonderworks was great :)
ok.....
Firstly its much cheaper than other dinner shows (even cheaper with coupons). It's held in a smallish room (I was surprised how small) rather than a large theatre or anything. There's a small stage at the front.
There are long tables running up and down the room, so you sit wherever you want.
Pizza is served... as much as you want.. likewise wine/drinks (they werent stingy with the drinks and I felt pleasantly happy ;-) at the end of the night shall we say.
The magic itself is fun. It's not "oh my god where did that helicopter go?" like it is in vegas, its more slight of hand and a few props. The two magicians are very funny though :)
Here's where I express my single reservation. I'm shy. Very shy.... and they picked on A LOT of audience members. It wasn't to do embarassing stuff or anything (mainly), but there was a significant amount of audience participation and yes, I was worried all the way through LOL.
The kids that were there seemed to have a brilliant time and many of them helped with tricks.
All in all, I really recommend it!

Thanks Keith, that's great. I have only just found out about the Skull Kingdom show fairly recently Niki, I think its relatively new. I read about it in the 2005 Brits Guide and checked it out on the Skull Kingdom website. It seems to focus on the Horror aspect, great for my 14 year old, but wonder if it may be too much for my 7 year old who is easily 'spooked'! I like the sound of the Wonder Works anyhow, but like you Keith would be panicking all the way through about being picked!
