In August of 2003 my daughter and I took our "once in a lifetime" trip to WDW. I honestly thought once in a childhood was all you really needed. I fell in love with the place and have been anxiously awaiting our return. My childhood friend and I will be taking our daughters (ages 9 and 7) August 21-26. We are staying at POFQ, we have the dining plan and will have 6 day MYW Hoppers. After reading trip reports here I have gotten some great ideas. We will be doing the Family Magic Tour on the 22 followed by the character lunch at the castle. My daughter does not like breakfast so I was so happy to see the lunch now offered. I also have PS (is the new name ADR?) for Mama Melrose in MGM and the LTT character dinner. I have read something about a man playing the piano at POR. The girls love live musical entertainment. Does anyone know if it is something that is appropriate for children their age. I would love to hear any other suggestions to make this trip for them great. Thank you for all of your help!

Do take them to see Piano Bob at POR! We've seen him several times - including last June when we took our two 9-year old granddaughters! He brings the kids up on stage with him and they sing all sorts of neat songs and have fun!

If your girls love live musical shows you should really see the Hoop-Dee-Doo musical review at Ft Wilderness. We went for the first time in May and my 9 yr old still talks about how much he loved it. It's a great dinner show.
Have a great trip!!

Thanks for the replies!
WDWgrandma I am positive that it was your trip report from your trip with your granddaughters last year that has all ready given me wonderful ideas.
Hoss74 We he have all done the Hoop Dee Doo and love it! It has been almost 2 years since either of the girls have gone (they were 5 & 7) and they STILL talk about it.
