We have done a 2 week Mediterranean Cruise with P&O in the past and this autumn we're doing a weekender cruise (3 nights) with them. I would love to do a 2 week Caribbean Cruise but hubby doesn't want to.
Next year we are going to Orlando and I have almost persuaded him to do the 3 night Disney Cruise. My hope is that he will enjoy cruising in the warm waters around the Bahamas etc and it will persuade him to do a 2 week cruise in the future.
Does anyone have any experience of Disney AND P&O and can say whether he will find the Disney cruise ship too noisy, too busy, too full of children so he is put off or can say how crusing in that area compares to cruising in Europe please?

We have cruised with Disney on the 4 & 7 day trips, also cruised on the Norweigan Dreamward, Westward, Norway also on Celeberty Zenith multiple times and the best cruise was that of the Disney Wonder & Magic. We never cruised on P/O so I cant compare there.
Food seemed to be of better quality on disney, since in recient years the cruise concept caught on & other liners have steped back with food quality, Disney has given us excepeional food on bith ships.
If you are traveling adults only there are restriceted areas no children
No gambeling on Disney
Disneys private Island much better than other cruise lines, and their food on the Island also much better than others
Hope this can add :) some help

For what it`s worth, after our first cruise we stayed at Vero Beach for a few days.
There, we got talking to one of the CM`s who was from England, who told us that her parents had just been on a DCL cruise, having previously cruised on the QE2. They went as far as to say that the DCL fared in the same league as the QE2 which speaks volumes for the standard of service, meals etc.
We don`t have children ourselves, but the fact that there were loads of them on board has never bothered us. During most times they tend to hang out by themselves and I would not say they were troublesome at all.
There is an adults only pool on board as well as an adults only beach at Castaway Cay which ensures that the age groups are segregated for at least part of the time.

Thanks folks.
We're not against children (have 2 ourselves altho they are grown up now) but we do enjoy the peace and quiet sometimes and being able to get away from little ones.
The DVC ship sounds fine - if it is in the same league as the QE2 then I don't think we'll be disappointed.
Now just to find the money http://www.wdisneyw.com/ubb/smile.gif
