Hey Guys!
Less than two weeks left till my first Florida holiday now! YAY, although i have been told that there is a big storm or something? now i understand that we will get rain everyday at least to a degree, which we are not too worried about (just like home hehe), but is there likely to be any thing which could ruin the whole trip?

Thanks in advance guys, we are just hoping our whole trip isnt gonna be ruined!

Try not to be too worried, James.
We were in WDW during Hurricane Andrew and, although we had to change a few plans, we still had a great time.
Just be prepared to do different things if the rain, wind etc would make your original idea for the day difficult.
Have a fab holiday! :)

Are you referring to T.S. Arlene? She's not that big of a storm :) She's heading for the Panhandle, who will be in for a lot of rain and wind. Orlando shouldn't be TOO effected. That said, our weather pattern here in Fla. has been abnormal the past few weeks. Lots of rain (said as I hear a clap of thunder) and overall gray skies

Worrying won't change things, eh? :) Just plan for the rain and go along your merry way!

No worries, most of the rides are indoors anyway.

My DW and I always tend to go to WDW in the hurricane season and we were there for "Floyd" a few years ago along with several other "biggies" over the years.

Generally, it`s the coastal areas which are worst hit [last year was very unusual] as the storms lose their impetus rapidly when they make it onto the land. You could not be much further inland in Florida than Orlando!

Don`t worry about it...you`ll be fine.

I dont think any storms are charted yet that will effect your stay.

The rain is a constant, usually in the afternoon till evening, and is great for attendance, most flee, a & we gleem with ponchos on hand get to go on rides much easier

We travel most of the time during hurricane season, and were only caught last year for hurricane CHARLIE!! we had a 7 day Wilderness lodge trip turn into a 13 day trip, but it was fun, and we did finally get home ok, we were asked t leave the park at 1 and in the lodge at 6 were asked to stay in our room, but the next day a delayed opening & all was back to normal.
