Hello, this Sept. will be our first trip to disney with Hubby and 4 and 7 yr old boys. The 4 yr old is very BUSY and of course doens't like to stand still. How long should we expect the lines to be in the middle of Sept.

Thanks,

We normally visit WDW at this time, and although it is not the busiest time there, some of the more popular attractions can have wait times of 30-45 minutes.

Try to get to the parks early and take advantage of the Fastpass system wherever possible. The rides are also less busy when the parades take place, although no doubt you would also like to see these.

Last year we went from the middle-end of Sept and were very pleasantly surprised at how short the queues were. On average I think we had to wait about 10 mins, some rides we walked straight on with no queue at all! The longest wait we had was about 20 mins for Back To The Future at Universal.

While it is true that the lines in September are normally not too bad, mostly because most children in the US are back in school, keep in mind that there is a 50th Anniversary Celebration going on that could cause the lines to be longer than usual. I would suggest you make good use of the Fastpass system.

Those rides that are FP attactions have little machines outside. You put your park ticket in and out comes your ticket and a little slip of paper. That is your FP. it has a 1 hour time window in which you have to come back and get into a seperate (but much shorter) line.

Countdown timer instructions can be found here (http://www.wdisneyw.com/forums/cdt/cdtSelectCountdown.htm)

Can only echo what people say about Fastpass, use it as much as you can. My other biggest tip would be to get to the parks when they open, we arrived at Universal half an hour before opening, went to the back of the park first and managed to do nearly everything in the first few hours. People tend to dawdle at the gates and I was amazed how many people arrived at opening time and went straight to have something to eat!

Only three words regarding long lines and how long to wait...FASTPASS FASTPASS FASTPASS. Whenever possible, get a FASTPASS ticket which will give you a one hour window in which to come back and get on the attraction by going through a much shorter line. You'll be able to walk past all those poor other folks that have been standing in the non-FASTPASS line for many, many minutes (or..what could seem like hours to them, I'm sure :D )

FASTPASS will only allow you to have one pending attraction at a time on the FASTPASS system, so you can't go around and get a FASTPASS time to each attraction all at once, but at least you can go do something else besides stand in line while waiting for your FASTPASS time to come back to the attraction. HOpe this helps you some...Enjoy yourselves. We were there May 6 - 12 and the crowds seemed much larger than usual, due to the 50th celebration, I'm sure. :wiggle:

I wouldnt wait over 1/2 for a ride, unless you have to

Normally, this is a good time to go lines-wise. However, because of the 50th anniversary deals that are out there for this celebration, and the fact that the Orlando area is re-bounding post 9/11, I believe that crowds are going to start becoming larger over the 16 months still left in the celebration.

Am I the only guy who doesn't mind waiting for rides? Or is that because I was with my mate? lol

if your with your mates its fine, and if you have more then three days to ride all the rides in all four parks, then its fine and fun
