Transportation to Wide World of Sports

My daughter's softball team just won a bid to play in the USSSA World Series at the Wide World of Sports in late July. We have VERY little time to plan, and fund raise, for this trip. It looks like the participants can get a good rate at the All Star Sports Resort, but I can't tell if there is transportation from the resort to the sports complex. Can anyone help?? Is there bus service there - or do we need cars (we were hoping to save money and use WDW transportation!!) Also - if anyone has participated in one of these events I would be truly grateful for your ideas and suggestions!!

Our only trip to WDW was Nov 2003 - I am so excited that we might be coming back!!! I really hope we can make these arrangements work!!

We had a car on our last trip,,,,however whilst @ WWSe I noticed that there was WDW bus from the WWS to MGM and visa versa.

I honestly don't recall there being bus service from All Stars to WWS, however, there may be. Your best bet may be a bus to the TTC or DTD and then back to WWS from there.

There was a bus service when we were there during Pop Warner in 2003.

I'd call the resort directly and check with them but it seems to me if they're giving rates for the participants, they'd give the transport directly from the hotel. But then again, that may be too logical for Disney ;)

Well I did call the hotel today and unfortunately they don't have any transportation - I'm hugely disappointed. The booking agent offered to help with a van rental, but it is going to cost $1075 to rent a 15 passenger van for the week, and we will have to make mutiple trips with the team, the gear and the families for a minimum of 5 games; hopefully many more. Oh well, one more hurdle to cross.
