I usually spend a full day at each, but I like to do the rides a couple of times. If you get there at park opening, you could probably get most stuff done by 2 or so

We usually arrive right at opening and spend half a day at a water park. We're usually finished at about 3 at the most :) DS tends to do a lot of the rides in that time :D

We then usually go back to the hotel and freshen up and spend the evening in one of the main parks.

We usually do TL once and BB twice in a fortnight's holiday. We get there at opening time and stay untl about 3-4pm.

It's the one part of the holiday that just can't be experienced anywhere else - we love them

thats the way we feel about them too susie, we have such a good time there, and relax time away from all the walking at the theme parks too :D

Ashley doesnt say where they live (US/UK, warm/cold climate) - I think a lot of the reason we love them is that we love the water but here in the UK it's not hot enough to have water 'themed' parks.

If your family enjoys swimming or the beach then I'm sure you will love them. BB is a bit better for teenagers in terms of thrill rides but TL has the wave/surf pool which is great fun too.
Just make sure you allow time to try them once and then you can repeat the experience if you become a fan like us
