Has anyone done the Blue Lagoon Island dolphin swim at Nassau?
Not the dolphin encounter that Disney offer as an excursion, but the actual swim with dolphins that you arrange yourself - http://www.dolphinswims.com/swim.html
How was it? Was it worth the money? How did you get to Blue Lagoon Island?
:thanks:

I haven't personally done it but know people who have and they loved it. You get to the island aboard a ferry that picks you up in Nassau

:excited::excited::excited: Yes, I've done it ! Yes, It's worth the money ! If you love dolphins , it will be the most memorable experience of your life, next to marrying Kiltie, that is . :hehe: You can buy a video and pictures of your experience . You get to dance, kiss and really interact with the dolphins . The best part is when they push you ( their nose to the arch on the bottom of your foot ) , it feels like you're flying through the water . It was so much fun . Do it, Jo, I guarantee you won't be sorry . And as Cinderella mentioned, you go to the island via a ferry . Once you get off the ship, you'll go to the Welcome Center and there will be cabs to take you to the ferry and back to the ship. Make your reservation soon though b/c it is a very popular attraction .

You've sold it Tinker! :excited:
Is it easy enough to get to the ferry? did you stay on the island afterwards, or come straight back on the ferry?
Have you done Discovery Cove? If so, how does it compare?

Yes, it is, Jo ! Once you get to the Welcome Center let them know that you want a taxi too The Blue Lagoon . They will transport you too the dock. Once there you will check in and they will tell you where to wait for the ferry . There is also a nice store that you can browse we'll waiting . The captain will announce "Who is ready to swim with the Dolphins or something to that effect, once he arrives  It's a gorgeous ride out, too. When you get there they will give you a wet suit and do a brief orientation on the dos and don'ts. Then its off to interact and have fun . You will have time to change , buy your videos/pictures and souvenoirs before the ferry returns you to the main island . Then just get a cab back to where you are going . The taxis are right there lined up for business . We went to shop in Nassau afterwards, but I did a morning swim .
I've never done Discovery Cove, but my friend did that saw my video and said mine was much better and longer interaction . I'd like to do it and compare the two, though.
