Hi I'm leaving for Orlando on Thursday, I'm really excited except the forecast for the weather is really getting me down :( as every site i have been on has been thunder showers, what the thunder showers like are they all day or just frequent. Weve never been in July before and was just wondering what the weather is like ?

You may well get one every day but they tend to be short and sharp in the afternoon- i personnally love the thundery showers and don't mind getting soaked- buy yourself some ponchos and keep them on you so you are prepared- the storms can pop up from nowhere and then be gone. YOu will have a fab time don't worry :)

This year it has been raining much more than usual. We are likely to set a record for the most rain in June for the area, ever. Usually we have daily afternoon showers, but this year it is raining for long periods of time, sometimes all day. Sorry to rain on your parade; hopefully this weather will change very soon.

I can't tell you about Orlando but I don't think Ft. Lauderdale has had a sunny day all month

I was actually surprised this weekend. Forecast was for lots of rain and even though we got a few showers, most of the weekend was nice. When the sun was out everything was very nice and clear without any haze. The week has been a different story...

Each year we go in July. There's always some rain, sometimes we've had a short thunder shower but on other days, it's rained for the whole day! It won't spoil your holiday. Just buy a poncho, and head off to the parks. They will be less crowded and you'll still have a great time.

We just returned last night and the rain was a welcome event. It was tooooooo hot for us. We had 3 sunny, very hot and humid days and 3 cloudy, some wind, and off and on showers days (Thanks to the passing hurricane, never thought I'd say that:wink:).

We got the most done on the days when it rained and the sun was not shining. The sun really wears you down.

I was worried about getting wet and having bad weather too, but when we felt that heat I was happy to get wet with rain.

We didn't get stuck in any severe down pours. We got lucky with that. We were always eating, on the bus, or monorail when it was pouring out.

Have a great time and don't worry about the weather. You'll have a great time no matter what.http://www.wdisneyw.com/ubb/smile.gif
