My family and I stayed at the Hawthorn suites in May 2003, this is a very clean and quiet Hotel and is close to Downtown Disney and Parks, free shuttle service to Epcot Transportation Centre, free hot breakfast buffet. Staff pleasant and helpful. This is not a kiddies hotel unless your kids are extremely well behaved.

Nice, never crowded, but small pool and hot tub.

My wife our daughter and our 2 grandchildren (11 and 13) just loved this hotel mainly because of how peacefull it was, after an hectic day at the parks it was nice to be able to get back to the hotel and chill out by the pool, each day was never a hassle, and because we went at the beginning of May the parks were not crowded, the weather was wonderful with just 10 minutes of rain in the whole 2 weeks. We did ALL the parks including Universal & IOA, Wet & Wild, Blizzard Beach, Seaworld and even NASA.

The next time we go though, we will probably book into the Dolphin and get a balcony room overlooking the Epcot lagoon and watch Reflections of Earth every night, expensive but worth it!

We've just returned from a fortnight at this hotel and can thoroughly recommend it.
The staff were very friendly and although the pool is small we didn't have a problem getting a sun bed on one of our rare rest days.
Breakfast can get a little repetitive but as it was included in the cost of the room I'm not complaining!
It is ideally situated for all the parks as you can use Turkey Lake Rd to get to Sea World and Universal which few people use and Disney is on the doorstep.
There was a big group of Brazilian school kids staying at the same time and a couple of big groups from churches, but we had no trouble with noise or anything else.
We would definitely consider going there again.

Glad you had a good time at this Hotel, we liked it back in 2003 it was never busy and we always managed to get in the pool and some days had it all to ourselves. the only criticism that I had was the lady on the planning desk by the little shop, she was a little over enthusiastic to say the least. We wanted to plan a Birthday treat for our Grandaughter (11 years old) so we decided to hire a stretch limo and take her to Seaworld and then to the Pirates Dinner show, we only wanted the price, but the lady had it booked as soon as we mentioned it, needless to say we had an unforgettable trip and the whole evening was magical. Other than that we can not say anything bad about this hotel, as long as you want a quiet holiday close to the Disney Magic!!

There was a guy on most of the time while we were there. He gave us directions a couple of times and never tried to push anything.
We did the Pirate show in 2002 and really enjoyed it.
