hoop dee doo at fort wilderness disney is my utter fave :)))))))))))))

arabian nights gets my vote for most over hyped and least worth it

dolly partons dixy stampede is mediocre... JUST ok
medieval times is great fun, I'd do that again

bargain one is outa control magic show... stupidly cheap and loads of fun

I've only been to Hoop De Doo and the Pirates Adventure thing. All the others have horses and I'm allergic

I'd choose Hoop De Doo. The show was funny and the food was good. I did like Pirates (we had free tix) but I doubt I'd pay that much money to go again. I'd really like to do Medieval Times cause it looks fun.

Medieval Times is 5 minutes away from where we are staying so that is looking like a must see :)
I would like to know more about the "outa control magic show" where is the show? Is it suitable for kids?

Whats Hoop De Doo and how much is it? Do you have to pre book?

The only option I have seen without horses with Pirates but not sure how much I feel like going.

hoop dee doo is at disney's fort wilderness.. it's ABOUT $50 per adult and its a fun jokes and singing style "wild west entertainment troop" thing. That doesn't do it justice at all though :) its funny, relaxing the food/drink is the best of any dinner show I've tried and I totally recommend it.

You do have to book yeah... the story goes, the earlier you book the better the table you get.. I don't REALLY buy that ;-) but yeah you should book. It's held three times a night, something like 5:30 7:30 9:30 ... the first two are harder to get than the 9:30 but theyre all pretty easy

Hoop De Doo is a dinner show at Disney's Ft. Wilderness resort. It's an all you can eat (fried chicken, pork ribs, etc) and unlimited beer, sangria and soft drinks. You can pre-book 2 years in advance. It's expensive, about $75 a person.

nahhh or at least not last time I booked it :/

It had just gone up from $49 to $50.22 for adults and $25.43 for children 3-11; tax and gratuity included.

WE posted at the same time Keith. I was thinking it was $50 but Disney's site says Dinner: Family Style, $$$ ($30-$75 per person).

We went a couple of years ago and got a discount for going to the late show. We're using the dining plan this go round. If it's $50 then that's the same price as the off-site ones and not a bad price at all.

I suspect the disney site is just saying "30-$75" for a $$$ type of restaurant.

If it's REALLY gone up $25 from March, even though it's disney I'd be kinda surprised :(

aha maybe that's what it is. I was thinking $75 was way too much. MY apologies.

Here's the info from Disney's site:
Dig in to the all-you-care-to-eat vittles at this hearty American hoe down. Enjoy all-American favorites like fried chicken, smoked BBQ pork ribs, corn, baked beans, tossed green salad, fresh baked bread and strawberry shortcake, plus unlimited draft beer, wine, sangria and soft drinks. Clap along to the lively musical comedy revue as you savor your scrumptious dinner! It's the tastiest treat on the frontier!

Be sure to visit Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue in Resort Entertainment to learn about the raucous side to this tasty experience, too!

no apologies required.... with Disney anything's possible! ie. illuminations cruise price hikes etc.

But I do love the hoop dee doo so I'm hoping they haven't been that silly :)

I took my horse loving daughter to Arabian Knights-Would pass from now on. The food was mediocre, the story line not very good, and the sound system poor.

My nephew loves Medevil Times - I think it's must for boys between 8 and 14.

Where do you book the Disney Hoop Dee Doo?

Hoop Dee Doo.....$50.22 for adults and $25.43 for children 3-11; tax and gratuity included

For reservations call (407) WDW-DINE (939-3463)

When DH and I went to see this show, the first 2 minutes I admit I was thinking "what have I let myself in for" it was so wacky and corny. After 2 minutes....we were whooping with the rest of the crowd and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. I would go again without a doubt

I would rather book by internet just because you have your confirmations printed out. Do they do that on the Disney site I couldnt find it.

Keith

Salad to start with and nice baked beans yep :)

Johnie
July 24th, 2005, 16:13
No potato salad. I'm not so sure about baked beans

They start you off with salad. There was fried chicken, bbq pork ribs (very tough IMO), corn, bread, strawberry shortcake.
