i booked our holiday to orlando for next year, altogether we are a party of 12, one of the party is wheelchair confimed. i wondered if anyone knew what happens with regards to standing in line. will disney and the other parks let us all go to the front or is there a restricted number of people who are able to go with the wheelchair??. if disney wont let us all go to the front, will we be able to wait in line with the wheelchair. when we have been to disney before i dont remember seeing anyone in wheelchairs queing so this makes me think that they are not allowed to wait in line. we are not bothered if we have to queue or not
we just want to be able to go on the rides and see the shows together.
any advise would be a great help

if a ride requires that wheelchair guests need to use a different entrance then the maximum amount of guests with them is 5.
You will have to look at the Disabilities list of rides to see which rides enter where. Thats here (http://www.wdisneyw.co.uk/disab.html) it'll show you which need to be transfered onto and which will take a wheelchair.

They do rent scooters, for a rental charge of $40, with a $10 rebate upon rental return. Save your receipt for the second park, if you are park hopping. There is no guarantee that one will be available at the second park, however.

My mother in law was in a wheelchair on our trip last year. There always seemed to be a separate entrance for wheelchair users in Disney, and the 3 of us always accompanied her. But I don't think I've seen quite such a large party going through.
Different story in Universal, you wait in line, wheelchair or no wheelchair. You have to be a pretty nimble steerer, especially when the line weave around and around.

I think Disney limit the number in the party accompanying the wheelchair. You need to go to guest services and get a Guest Assistance Card :)
