Hi,

Does anyone know why virgin flight vs028 orland to gatwick was cancelled on july 14th...??

We was supposed to go home on that flight and was told when we arrived at DTD checkin that our flight had been cancelled:Panic: and was being sent on a flight to machester and then from manchester to gatwick .. (which meant we had what we call a long delay in getting home than what we should of had with our direct flight) :Pacing: plus we had arranged for a taxi to meet us off the 6.55am flight (lets just say he was not a happy chappie)

We have not had any apologies or explanations at all from virgin holidays for why it was cancelled and for any inconvenience caused to us.... :grrr:

Did anyone else use this flight and have any explanations etc...
thanks

The incoming flight did not arrive because the aircraft had some sort of a minor collision on the ground with a vehicle prior to setting off.

Can't understand why they didn't tell you about the problems.

Just for future use, you can get a lot of virgin info from http://www.v-flyer.com/

If something happens, they usually know about it pretty quickly ;-)

nope not a single word....it was basically you're going on this flight like it or lump it..:what: even though we had paid for a direct flight and there was a flight to gatwick that same day they stuck us on the manchester flight...:ohdear:

you all will think that its not that long of a delay but it was 6 hours in total with the wait for the flight at orlando and then the wait at manchester...

we thought that too..but when we had checked in, several people behind us were put on the gatwick flight...(all adults no children) being that there was only 2 of us that totally annoyed us....we had even paid out for PE....it will take us a while to regain trust with VH as the flight from manchester was not even with them but with british airways(they could not care less if we got to gatwick or not):(
