Just wondering what to pack! Will we need to take a light jacket for being up on deck in the evenings? We never bother in the theme parks or Florida in general as it's so warm, but as it's our first time on the cruise, I'm unsure what the temperature will be in the evening.
Also, am I better getting some currency for Nassau in the UK or exchanging on the ship?
Thanks.

A light jacket or "wind breaker" should be fine to stroll around on the upper deck (wind picks-up a lot of speed as it goes across the ship) and also maybe for dinner. Sometimes the dining rooms can get cold, specially for the ladies
Are you also going to the parks during your visit? If you are and you already have US dollars with you, just use that at Nassau. Since their main industry is tourism, they've made their Bahamian dollar equivalent to the US dollar for ease of use, no need to exchange to Bahamian currency for the 3-5 hours you will be there.
If you plan to really go shopping, all stores take credit cards, just have some cash to pay for things like hair braiding, T-Shirts, knick-knacks...
I have lots of photos of the DCL. The links are in my signature  .

Nothing more than a wind-breaker should do it and I would say 99% of the places off the boat take US currency (or credit card), even at the straw market.

Thanks for the help! I'm just going to collect my currency now, getting really excited!
