Typhoon Lagoon vs Blizzard Beach

This comparison probably gets swept around more than seaweed at high tide but just got back from "the World" having done both the lagoon and the beach.From a grown up (Ward Cleaver) point of view,I have to give the high water mark to Typhoon Lagoon.There are two things TL does better than BB and they are lazy river ride and wave pool.These happen to be the two themes Mom & Pop gravitate to.(1)The lazy river ride at TL (Castaway Creek) has water falls,avalanches,tunnels galore and just a great relaxing ride.BB has a similar ride (Cross Country Creek)with a few mists to cool you off on a hot day but not up to speed.(2)The wave pool at TL offers the same choppy waves that BB does but when the fog horn goes off at TL, the common demoninator ends.This means its tsunamis time and surfs up with 7 foot waves that will rock your world and your butt when you fall on it.These waves will hit you like a 275lb pulling guard and give you more air time than that Stacey girl does on your resort TV.If you're a roller coaster/ bungee jumping Mt Dew drinker than head for the Slush Gusher/Summitt Plummet of BB but if you're of an age that Daisey Duke is a TV character instead of a pair of short shorts go to the lagoon.

We just got back from Disney as well. We did both water parks and like a little bit at both. Our only down fall was that are our DD is only 3 and can't ride everything. I enjoyed BB lazy river and kiddie area better. TL had more shade areas and a better wave pool. The rides and the kiddie area was much much better at TL,that's just my 2 cents. We will go back next year and do both water parks again. Maybe when we go the water might be alittle bit cooler. It was so hot outside that the water felt like a luke warm bath tub without the bubbles. :bath2: :lol:
