I've taken this from a popular Airline forum.:(

Travel City Direct
Hope someone can shed some light for me please.

Am waiting to fly to Orlando from Manchester on TCD and was due to go at 11.15am. Nobody seems to know what's happening and best news they can give us, is an update at 16.30!!!!!!!!!

Nice start to the holiday!!

5hrs15mins for an update :eek:



I know problems and delays are inevitable, but over 5 hours for an update. Surely in these situations regular updates are the key, even if they are continuously telling you the same information. I think it all boils down to bad customer service again.

They will go under if they dont start looking after their passengers better.

Thing is, as long as they have a reputation for being cheap, people will keep booking them :( I'd like to say I wouldn't but when I was looking for a bargain flight this week even I called them after reading all this.

I've been keeping an active eye on the live Manchester airport departure board, as we fly on that 11.15 TCD flight next Friday.

Its not just that one, but another flight due out at 11.15 (EUK450) and a further one at 14.00 (5A134) - anyone shed any light on a generic problem or who those other carriers are?

Guess what - just discovered that EUK and A5 are also Air Atlanta codes

Yep, all the same flights i'm afraid :(. I noticed they added an extra flight code for tomorrow A5135 update at 10.00am. This must be the extra flight they will lay on to get todays passengers moving tomorrow.

Probably try to get an older plane going or something <G>

I'm sure it'll be ok, but if anyone sees Amelia Earhart walking upto the flight deck, it's probably time to reconsider booking with someone else <G>
