I will be staying at Sports Resort and wondered how to get to Universal from there since they only go to Disney places.

If you do not have a car you'll have to go with a taxi or mears or something like that. Disney buses only go to locations on property

I do not have a car. I didn't know how far it was from Sports resort to Universal so didn't know if it would be cheaper to take a cab or Mears. Does anyone have any idea which would be the best?

I always have a car so I can't really give you an idea on prices. I'm sure someone will be around shortly to help you in that regard

I can tell you a year ago it was about 20 dollars to take a taxi to Universal from Disney...one way tho... so save your bucks.. you would be better off renting a car for a couple of days if you are able to drive... less expensive to rent a car.. especially if you book online....

We never book a car either... we don't want the hassle.
Easiest way is a taxi.... about $25-$30 each way (+tip) You can book mears transfers but I found it a bit of a pain. You could also try the busses but again, I'm not sure it's worth the wait/effort.

Hi!
I too have been pondering over how to get to universal/sea world as we're not getting a car (only 20 so insurance is SKY high!!) I've been looking into LYNX buses, its public transport. They have a website: http://www.golynx.com which lists all its routes. It picks up in Disneys Transportation and Ticket Centre and goes to universal and seaworld! i reckon there will be a few transfers but its what we paln to use to cut down on costs a bit!!

Taxi will be $30 plus each way, the lynx buses run from TTC and a day rider is about $3.50. you will need to transfer twice, I think it is the 50 then the 8 and finally the 21 but a lot cheaper than a taxi.
