If can plan & organize our WDW vacation 6 - 9 months ahead of time, why can't I start organizing and planning for Christmas now, right?

Any tips out there?

We'd like to have a theme for our tree and decor this year! You guessed it... Disney theme!

Why not indeed! Where do you plan on celebrating Christmas? Home or WDW?

At home you could certainly go all out! There are only about a bazillion WDW themed decorations to choose from so you won't have any problems finding things you like.

What did you have in mind?

We have two little disney trees a pink one and a blue one, we use the kids disney toys from happy meals, toys they have gotten over the years, they make ornaments each year too!

How about one of the smaller trees to put in a dining room or family room adding those disney beanie babies fill up a tree! This sounds crazy but you can place disney books in the trees!! Use your kids toys, look on ebay! Target and Walmart both have disney ornamanets!!

our main big tree sad to say is not a disney tree -- not enough ornaments but I am working on adding to our collections! I do have enough this year for a disney tree next to our fireplace!!

And I'm just trying to plan sufficiently to make it through the upcoming Las Vegas trip!

Thanks for mentioning the Christmas cards, JM! I need to get busy after I return from Las Vegas!

And to think I used to make most of the gifts and have marathon holiday baking sessions--plus decorating the house and yard.

I've lost it! :sigh:

I do a spreadsheet listing who I need to buy gifts for, my gift ideas, and the final price I've spent for each person. Helps me keep my spending in check.

I've been known to buy christmas gifts in July when I find the right thing, or the right price!! The only things I've bought this year are Black Hills gold necklaces I found on sale in South Dakota last month.

If you're cooking a big holiday meal, make a list of things you'll need, and you can buy some of them ahead of time, so it's not one huge shopping trip.

I've been known to buy presents at after-Christmas sales for my niece and nephews
