Hi,

Looking for some tips from any experienced Orlando drivers please !

We are off to the land of theme park heaven next week. Can't wait.
Heard horror stories about the traffic on I4 and the junction with Sand Lake Road.

We will be staying in the Enclave Suites (Near Wet n Wild) and I want to know if there is a "quick" and less congested route to Universal Studios.

Map Quest driving directions say:I Drive South to Sand Lake Road to Turkey Lake Road. Sounds too congested and the long way around to me.

Is it not possible to just go North up Universal Boulevard ? Will this take us straight to the parking garages and into the Universal Entrance ?

Thanks for any help.
Rich.

Don't know if it is quicker (I'm sure a local will be better able to advise) but whenever we have gone we took Apopka-Vineland up to Sand Lake Rd and then Turkey Lake Rd onto where ever the signs directed you. This is mainly because I am phobic about using motorways or interstates and much prefer to be on local roads, but I didn't think it took too long apart from one left turn which I think was from Sand Lake Rd onto Turkey Lake Rd which can be a bit congested.

Yes, you can use Universal Boulevard which will take you directly to the parking entrance. Don't know how much time and congestion it will save you, but it will be the easiest way to get to US from where you are staying.

Traffic to the parks is just something we live with, there is no way to get around it, everybody knows the "secret routes" so all routes always have traffic  .

Thanks Jen. Seems like everything and everyone is pointing me this way, so that's what I'll do.

Great thanks. Guess we'll just have to be patient with the traffic
