Has anyone travelled with mytravel? What are they like.
Basically we are looking at going with Airtours or First Choice???
we went with first choice last year, and I was a little cramped, but the plane was clean and staff were ok. people on here say they have improved, so not sure what to do?

Hi
We went with MyTravel last year and I have to say I wouldn't be in a rush to go back with them, we found the cabin crew to be rude (the guy kept telling us how much he hated Orlando) and unhelpful. We paid for extra legroom seats, I wouldn't bother wasting the extra money. The one good thing was that all the seats had personal tv's altho on the flight out my tv was broken and on the way back there was no sound on my tv. I have heard lots of good things about the new First Choice planes.....I'd definately give them a try.
Cheers

I think the First Choice fleet have changed this summer. They have a seat pitch the same as Virgin or maybe 1" more 33"? in economy and they have the seatback screens etc. With MyTravel, it still seems to be hit or miss which plane you get in terms of seatback TV's etc, but I think the seat pitch is still charter standard around 29" whichever plane you get? Personally, i'd choose First Choice :)

guess you booked through Thomas Cook or Airtours, well good luck, you will have a great time out there.
We are still just looking at the moment for 2 weeks in october (maybe november now), but we are also moving house (hopefully) soon, so all depends on that really if we still go or not and when, but we really hope to.
Keep us informed, we are looking to book sept.
the other twist, is to go to Florida again or Dom Republic, my vote is Florida

We flew with Mytravel from Manchester to Sandford via Belfast in 2003
As airlines go, they were only O.K not exceptional. We had paid for a special meal out in stead of the standard, but they said they had not been notified, so had the standard meal, YUK! On return trip had the special paid for meal this time they had been notified, Cabin Crew are not the freindliest, we came down again in Belfast to let off Irish passengers, and once that was done we flew on to Manchester with about 20 passengers, we practically had the whole aircraft to ourselves.
Come back Canadian Pacific Airways, they were the absolute best!!!

Personally, I've never had a problem with Airtours/MyTravel - just with them switching aircraft at the last minute leaving premiair seats unavailable. Everything else is OK considering the price you pay - in our case 500pounds difference each for premiair seats.
