Well, the boyfriend misses WDW so much that he has decided that we must go back in January. (Well, he'd like to go back sooner, but I have school and school comes before Disney). We've only been in July, so have no idea what so expect. I know that the weather will be so much nicer!!! I vowed never to back in July after my sunburn. How long are the wait times for the rides? Does it rain everyday like it does during July? We will be staying at the Movies, thanks to the help of Mickeymac (thanks again).

Very little rain. Much much cooler. You can see temps down into the 30's. On the other hand, I've had temps into the 80's in January. it's unpredictable.
Lines are very short once you get past New Year's

We've been in Jan. Usually chilly enough for jeans and a jacket at night. It can get cold in the World Showcase! Lines are pretty non existant except around MLK holiday weekend. We're thinking about going down that weekend.

Hopefully we'll be there from the 1st till the 6th. I just can't imagine wearing jeans. That's so exciting. Little lines, I don't think can handle this.

That was our experience too. It got a little chilly a few of the days. I chose to wear a polar fleece and shorts. DD got it in her head that she was going to swim no matter what the cost! We stayed at the Poly and the pools were like always 80 degrees. I tried to warn her that it was too cold to swim that night after MK closed down, but she insisted. Needles to say she learned a valuable lesson that night that her parents were "always" right! Hehe.. She shiverred all the way back to the pool. I asked her if it was worth it to swim in the warm steamy water..and we got an emphatic yup!

We were there last year in January the week after the first and it was very warm in the mid 80's. It was nice and the crowds were small but of course the temps were above normal when we were there so it is usually cooler. Of course it felt great to us a we laughed at the weather reports from back home. 30 below wind chilss and lots of snow!!!:D

Yeah no doubt..had the rare fun of taking in a game at Lambeau in December!! You can't understand cold until you spend a few hours out in the balmy Wisconsin winter...BTW.it was one of the few losses at home for GB! Lost to the Carolina Panthers!!! :afraid:

We have booked to go 6 - 20 January next year as we were told it was quieter and the crowds would be loess, really looking forward to it.

Oh wow! I have to admit I have lived here all my life but am a wimp when it comes to standing outside in the cold to watch football. I would rather be indoors with my beverage and snacks. But everyone says Lambeau field is the best football experience. And you definitely have to have a cheesehead hat too!

Love January - this January just gone the temps did not slip below the mid 80's for the whole trip - very lucky - just watch out for the Marathon and MLK day

Frost on the roof tops of the Grand Floridian every morning. Really chilly - especially at night. At least that was our experience 2 years ago.

January is our time of year to go to Orlando. Once the New Year is over, lines just disappear....like magic :)
Last january it was very warm and everyone was wearing shorts .... temperatures were in the low 80's
In 2003...it was chilly until about 10am, then warm enough for short sleeves. At about 5pm, it started getting cooler again.

So I'm thinking I need to pack shorts, pants, t-shirts, and a jacket. Just a little bit of everything. :)

Well not being a Yupper, I didn't go wit da cheeshead hat.
But I wanted to experience Wiscansin (accent:D ) to da fullest..so had to do wit a cuppla butter burgers and Linnys!:beer2:
Ok..now here is a post I may regrest (second one this week). But Lambeau has a serious lack of indoor plumbing. They have rows of porta potties. Needles to say I was horrified to see that they over the course of the game were FILLED to near overflowing. It was so cold that steam was coming out the vents of the tops of the porta potties:eek: ! Now I guess I wasn't the only one to have a few Linnys!

Yup! Days can be warm, but a clear night can bring a chill. Carry an arorak, light fleece or windbreaker with you.:)

We were there at the end of January last year. There was no rain which was wonderful, but the weather was cooler than we were used to when visiting Florida. It was in the mid 40's- 50's I would say. It still felt warmer than what we were experiencing for January in the North East! I wore Jeans, and a long sleeve shirt with a fleece jacket and I was OK. I think one day I was actually able to wear shorts too. I would pack a little bit of everything just to be on the safe side. Our friends were there two weeks before and she said it was really warm and they were in shorts the whole time. Maybe right before you leave go to weather.com and do a 10 day forcast to get a better idea of what mother nature decides she's going to do. The great news was that there vere virtually no lines at all. We pretty much walked right on everything. You'll have a great trip. Afterall you can't ever go wrong visiting Disney! :)
