View Full Version : Saving seats!

I've just got back from a fantastic four night cruise on the Wonder. The only negative factor was the saving of seats in several of the entertainment venues especially the Walt Disney Theatre and Wavebands. Even though there are specific instructions asking passengers not to do this, on several occasions we found it difficult to obtain seats despite arriving fifteen minutes before an event began due to other passengers saving seats. On one occasion I observed a passenger saving 10 seats! When I attempted to sit down, she informed me that she was keeping the row for her children! On another occasion my husband and I could not enter Wavebands even though several tables were empty as passengers were reserving seats for other passengers. I feel that Disney cast members should be supervising this as if not, it will continue to the detriment of other passengers.

I hate that but I would just sit down. If it says you cannot sit down you are within your rights to sit in empty seats.

People do this on all cruises, all cruiselines. It is rude, rude, rude, rude,:nono: :tut: I understand saving a seat for your spouse, but otherwise it is just downright rude.

I'd have sat on the invisible people i'm afraid if they were saving more than 1 or 2 seats :hehe: There was a lawyer on TV this week saying the Germans cannot legally claim a sunbed with a towel, i'd have quoted that to them

Laike everyone else says, I would have just ingored them and sat down.
Of course I am the type of person to follow the rules and when other break them I get ticked off.

Sorry to hear this tweenie. We were lucky not to have experienced this on our recent cruise. I have to agree with the other posts though...I would simply sit down wherever there was a vacant seat and mention the "rules" to the ignorant so and so who was breaking them.
Did you have a word with any of the CM`s about it?

Yes, we mentioned it at Guest Services and they said they would make a note of it!
