I am right now testing Knoppix on my computer  .

Knoppix is a Linux distribution on a Live CD, meaning that yo do not have to install it on your system. When you boot-up, you tell your computer to boot from the CD that you have burned with the Knoppix image. It does not interfere at all with Windows since it runs in RAM and directly from the CD.

So far everything I've tested runs great. The Knoppix image has all the programs you need to practically do everything. All the programs included are Open Source. Right now I'm using Firefox, I've also tested Open Office which is compatible with all current versions of MS Office, GIMP which does everything Photoshop does.

Ok, back to exploring Knoppix :D .
