There is a Bahamas Immigration card in the packet. I wondered why because we weren't scheduled to stop in the Bahamas. But in the same mail delivery there was a Postcard from Slowhand and DW. Lo and behold Castaway Cay is in the Bahamas :D

What a thrill to come home and find both a cruise postcard AND our cruise packet on the same day!
I have a friend at work who leaves on her Disney cruise this weekend!!!!! It is one of the cruises that goes through the Panama Canal.

That`s strange John, because you don`t have to pass through Immigration at Castaway Cay. the only documents you will need there are your "Key to the World" card and a photo ID.....very odd!

Are the Grand Caymans part of the Bahamas?

Maybe they've included it just in case the ship ends up having to go around some storms or something and it's a sort of Plan B kind of thing
Hey Terry, I got my postcard yesterday

We talked with a friend this morning who is leaving FRIDAY for her next cruise, and she says she's gotten one of those forms for all of her cruises! She said it was for Castaway Cay.

Nah! Definately not.
Castaway Cay is about the only place where you don`t need all of that sort of paperwork.
No doubt all will be revealed:blush:

Everyone going to the Bahamas has to fill out the immigration form it is something that the country requires for everyone coming into the area whether it is on land or on a cruise.
You don't actually go through customs it is just a form that the cruise line has to hand in

Well, I did it. The most awful thing a woman has to do - I went out swimsuit shopping over the weekend. I HATE shopping for swimsuits (I don't much care for shopping anyway, but swimsuit shopping? YUCK)! Of course, waiting as long as I did, the suits in the regular stores were all picked over. So I ended up in a shop that specializes in swimsuits. I tried on 6 or 7. What an embarrassing, humbling experience... LOL

I hate bathing suit shopping more than anything in the world. I always buy 2-pieces because i'm different sizes on the top and bottom

Well, my friend from work left for California Friday to catch her Disney cruise through the Panama Canal. I spoke with her briefly on Thursday and she was nearly beside herself with excitement! And she told me she'd barely slept for the past few nights... I hope she's having a wonderful time!

Jo solved the case of the missing documents....so I should be receiving mine next week! I wanna be all happy and giddy and call Donna and say GUESS WHAT I GOT!!!
Yeah, I know what you mean about "having it all wrapped up" Tuxes are ordered, last minute shopping done...got my bathing suits last month when they went on sale....getting ready for the BIG move next Friday....I'm sooooo excited!!!!!!! Oh and our flights coming home have been changed too, but not too bad...just 45 minutes longer waiting at the airport than originally planned. Fun fun fun.

Our flight times have been changed, as well. And, as it turns out, we will be arriving about the same time that Bev arrives!
Look at our counter, folks! 19 days!!!!! Woo Hoo!!!!!!!!!!!

Amazing, isn't it? After nearly 2 years of waiting, the time is rapidly arriving when we will set sail for the Caribbean.
And I'll admit, I'm still nervous. My tummy has been doing the tango for the past two days. That can end any time soon...

I am so excited for you. I just love cruising. We haven't done Disney Cruise yet, but have gone on Carnival. I highly recommend the free dramamine pills they provide. I took one every 12 hours to avoid being green. Have a blast!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the good words, Kelly! I'm hoping to not need any medications for sea sickness... I guess we'll see!
