Hi
The last time I went to the All Star Sports I could use the WDW buses and these were really good. I intend to go next year but cannot manage steps well now, but I can still walk with the aid of a walking stick. I seem to remember that the buses had rear lifts for wheel chair users and wondered if these could be used by people with my sort of problem?
Thanks in anticipation :)

I`m pretty sure that if you had a word with the bus driver, he`d go out of his way to help and allow you to use the lift.

All WDW buses are Disabled Accessable now.:D
If you stand where the rear of the bus will stop (Disabled) the driver will come and assist you.

You could also rent a wheelchair, which is very helpful considering you will be walking a lot inside WDW.
That way, you dont have to worry about steps, standing in line for long periods of time, standing for parades and so on!

And many of the newer buses "kneel" to curb height so those of us with climbing issues can board more easily!
Check with the driver to see what your best option is on each bus. I wasn't able to manage stairs very well during my two trips in 2003 and the bus drivers and most of the CMs at the attractions were very helpful. :)
One of the CMs at the Jungle Ride was determined I was going to board left foot first--not possible! I kept explaining to her that I could board only if I had a death grip on something and entered right foot first. I was perfectly willing to go in the direction she wanted, just had to board on the opposite side of the opening. She didn't get it! Another CM finally rescued me and allowed me to board the only way I could!

I found most CMs very accomodating and going out of their way to help me ( I visited in a wheelchair in 2003 and needed help getting on and off rides).

Many thanks for the re-assurances, I knew there would no problems but wanted to be 100% sure.
