At the resorts, just go to the luggage desks or CM standing outside and ask them to get you a taxi. There are taxis parked up at dtd etc.

Only thing is, as anywhere, try and make sure to get a proper one with a meter in them. We have on occasion got one with no meter and you're never quite sure how much you'll get charged

We used a taxi a couple of times and arranged a rate before leaving....

There are taxis at the Resorts, outside Seaworld / Universal etc.
We never have a car these days so DH can have a real break. Tell your SIL not to fret :)

There aren't always taxis outside the parks. We were at MGM last week and wanted to get a taxi back to our hotel (at about 12pm). We thought taxis would automatically be at the "pick up/drop off" point. We were wrong and waited 30 mins in the heat with no shelter. Eventually we phoned one from the park entrance and he turned up within minutes.
My advice is if you want a taxi phone for one as you leave the park and it should be there by the time you reach the pick up point.

Its probably a good idea to write down a few numbers just in case there arent any around when you need them.

Kepp this number handy... : 1-888-468-6939 (Quicksilver Transportation), or save the hassle and just reserve a round trip with us (maybe a bit more than a taxi cab but without the worrying)...

Regards to all,

yeah just to add.... I recently did a brief survey of taxis/towncars on the web and emailed a few to ask about prices from various disney resorts to malls/parks etc.

Surprisingly (well I was surprised anyway <G>)) you can get a quicksilver towncar for the same price as a taxi (sometimes less) and having been stood up many times by taxi drivers who seemed to just get given a fare on the radio that they decided to go to instead :( I'd certainly recommend a towncar service

Earlier this year while we were playing a round of Mini Golf at Fanatasia Gardens it OPENED up on us, one of those nice freak storms in the heating of the day. Well we had walked from the Swan since there is not a Disney Bus stop and there was NO way we were gonna make it back to the Swan without looking like a drowned rat

So the nice people at the Gardens phoned the Taxi service, it was a plesant trip but just remember, the meter runs weither the car was moving or not (Of course we would hit every red light)

Think from the Gardens to DD/Pleasure Island cost like 6-10$ (dont really remember the total)
