it's miserable down here in 'Sunny Worthing' (west sussex)

my son is having friends over later for a boys evening for his 11th birthday - I was hoping they could go out in the garden on burn off some energy on the trampoline - don't think that's gonna happen - oh, my poor house will be suffering later

Does the heat in Orlando make it hard to do much?

Just wondering cause when it gets quite hot and humid here everyone just groans that its too hot to do anything.

It's not so much the heat but the humidity that can get you.

Rained pretty much all day here. Just stopped - been raining on and off since around 9am.

It was chucking it down when I got up this morning, then it was nice....till I needed to walk down into the village to go to the bank. Why does it always start raining as soon as you open the door????? :D

I hear that! I left the house this morning at 8:20 a.m. I felt like I needed to go take another shower.

You're lucky, on the rare occasion it gets hot here, I have to sit in an un-airconditioned office all day, with huge windows that turn the place into a greenhouse.

Did I mention the windows don't open?

I hate it when it's reallllly hot. If it's a school day I have to open the windows (obviously, so we don't boil). The problem is I am petrified of bugs, wasps, bees, all of them, and they allllways decide to come in on a hot day. And of course, as the teacher I have had to get rid of them. Although, I do have a very lovely teaching assistant who understands, and usually does it for me.

I just thought, I'm starting at a new school this year, what if nobody there will do it for me? Arghhhhhh! :D

It's in the low 70's here today - at least so far - with sprinkles. John and I walked next door for lunch and it was downright cool out there after the heat we've been having lately!
