The two main supermarkets near by are Walmart and Publix. We're sad and we're excited about seeing what Walmart was like but we ended up much preferring Publix!
As for smaller stores, I'm not sure. There are 7/11's dotted about the place though!

Are you going to have your own transportation?
If you are not, there is a Gooding's at the Crossroads Shopping Center at the end of Hotel Plaza Boulevard. You can get there by taking a Disney bus to DTD and then walking down Hotel Plaza Blvd.
If you are going to have your own transportation, there is a Publix on Lake Buena Vista which is very close to Downtown Disney, and the Wal-Mart on Sand Lake Road.
Let us know and we'll give you directions...

I forgot that point. We are going to have a car. What do you recommend? Thanks!

Well, if you want to stop by Wal-Mart on your way from the airport (I'm assuming you are arriving at OIA)...
- From the airport, take the SR528 (Bee Line) West towards the Attractions.
- You will go through 2 tolls, .75 cents each.
- Take exit number 3 to John Young Parkway. Be careful, it has a sharp curve.
- At John Young Parkway, turn right.
- Wal-Mart will be less than mile as you travel north.

When you are done...
- Take Sand Lake West to I-4. Take the I-4 West exit (passed the giant McDonald's).
- Take exit #68 to Lake Buena Vista, SR535.
- Take SR535 North (turn right).
- Take Hotel Plaza Boulevard (turn left), in front of Crossroads Shopping Center.
- Hotel Plaza Boulevard turns into Buena Vista Drive.
- Go passed DTD.
- OKW will be on your right.
If you want to go to Wal-Mart after you arrive at OKW...
- From Disney property, follow the signs to I-4 East.
- Take I-4 exit #68 to Sand Lake Road.
- Take Sand Lake Road West to the intersection of John Yong Parkway.
- Wal-mart will be just after the intersection on your right side.
To get to Publix from OKW...
- As you exit OKW, turn left.
- Turn left onto Buena Vista Drive.
- Buena Vista Drive will turn into Hotel PLaza Boulevard.
- At the intersection with SR535, turn right.
- Get on the right lane and go under the I-4 overpass.
- Turn left on the next intersection (Little Lake Bryan Drive), you will see Bahama Breeze on your left.
- Go passed the Mary Queen of the Universe Catholic Church and the Orlando Premium Outlets.
- You will see the Publix on your left.

Publix on Lake Buena Vista  . Once you get to OKW, there's really no need to go to Wal-Mart.
If later during your vacation you decide to go to the Florida Mall, just follow the directions to get to Wal-Mart but keep going on Sand Lake Road about 3/4 mile farther down until you see the Florida Mall on your right.
