We're thinking of going on the Magic Behind our scenes steam train tour on our next visit to Walt Disney World in October.

However, it starts at 7.15AM, and as we won't be driving, I was wondering if anyone knows what time the first bus from the Caribbean Beach to the Magic Kingdom is?

Thanks!

it's about 7:15 to 7:30 - you would need to find a separate mode of transportation for the early morning meeting. :D You can get a taxi pretty easy.

OK - thanks for that, looks like we'll have to get a taxi if we decide to go on it then!

I would check with the resort when you get there. Often WDW will be running special buses to get people to events that happen earlier than the park opens. If you do have to take a taxi to MK your best bet might be to ask them to take you to the Contemporary Resort, from which you can walk to MK in about 5-10 minutes. Otherwise the Taxi will drop you at TTC and you will be at the mercy of the monorail or ferry boat.

Thanks for that - we'll certainly ask when we get to our hotel.

Thanks for the suggestion about getting a taxi to the Contemporary - I hadn't thought about getting from the Transportation Centre to the Magic Kingdom  .

One other question - how long does it take to walk from the Contemporary to the Magic Kingdom?

That's not too bad then, I don't think I could have managed a long walk that early in the morning  especially when I'm on holiday!

Magic Behind our scenes steam train tour ... what is this exactly?

It's a 3 hour tour that takes you behind the scenes of the steam trains at the magic kingdom, you see how they get the trains ready, the engine sheds, etc.

There's a bit more information about it on the disneyworld website, - http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/wdwi/en_GB/parks/tourDetail?id=DisneysBehindtheMagicofOurSteamTrain sTourPage_en_GB
