HI All,

I'm new to cruising, can you tell me whilst we are onboard, do we still get the housekeeping making beds and tyding up.
If so do we need to tipp them??? How Much, Is there any other things that i really need to know, that are important that i might no know as a Virgin Cruiser.

On the last night of your cruise you'll find a sheet and four envelopes in your stateroom which explains the Disney system of 'tipping'. They suggest that you leave tips for the following, dining room server, assistant server, head server and the person who looked after your stateroom. They suggest an amount per person to tip - I think it was approximately
$14.75 - server
$11.75 - assistant server
$11.74 - stateroom attendant
$3.75 - head server
They also suggest that you include a tip for your children. Those figures were for the four night cruise - the seven night cruise will be more.
You can leave cash in the envelopes or go to guest services and pay by credit card and they will give you a receipt which you place in the envelope.
Like you, I was a cruise novice and found it a bit strange. I used the above as guidelines but the service we got was superb so I gave the tips I thought the staff deserved!

Thanks,
So how about the house keeping, do you get a housekeeper like on disney property or not?

Also can you explain the food arrangments.

Thanks

Ok. We are doing the 7-day Western Caribbean cruise. We will be on the Disney Magic. Once we check in we will be given our Key to the World card which will list our dining rotation. We may see something like "LAPLAPL" which would mean that the first night we dine at Lumiere's. The second night at Animator's Palate. Then Parrot Cay the third night. Then the rotation starts all over.

There is also Palo, which is an adult's only restaurant that needs to be booked upon boarding.

And there are casual dining choices such as Topsiders Buffet, Pluto's Dog House, etc.

I would think that would be the stateroom attendant. :)

...or to give them their proper title.."Stateroom Host / Hostess".
