Good budget hotel. Rooms cleaned every day fresh towels & toiletries daily if required, staff friendly & helpfull. Pool good, pool towels provided. Ideal position on I drive just across road from Wet & Wild near Ponderosa & Sizzler. Stayed there in June and would definately stay again.:)

Exactly, some people pay $40 a night and expect the Ritz, as long as it's clean and the beds comfy I don't care!

It's pretty cool, we stayed just over the road and used there instead of the hotel pool as it was free.

We stayed at the Rodeway, basic but a nice little hotel. Never been to Blizzard Beach but loved Typhoon Lagoon.

We stayed there back in 1992 when it was called Las Palmas - it was our first visit to Orlando and it was good clean accomodation. The pool was fine then and the handiness for Wet and Wild was excellent as we had our 2 daughters aged 8 and 11 with us then.
My wife (Karen) and I have a notion that we spend so little time in the hotel when we are in Orlando that we would rather stay in the budget hotels as long as they are clean and comfortable. It means we can afford to go to Orlando every year - If we paid more we would probably only be able to go every other year.
We have not had any problems at any hotels that would have spoilt the holiday (remember you can always complain! or ask to be moved - which we have done on a couple of occasions - once because the shower did not work and they couldn't fix it and once because we were at the bottom of a stair which was really noisy). Don't worry The Travel Companies would not continue to go back to these hotels if there was any major problems :)

Just to reassure anybody who may be staying in this hotel we stayed here late April early May this year.
Rooms were nice and clean - pool really good no problems (except ice machine on our floor kept breaking down but went up one floor and working fine there - however I feel sorry for anyone who gets a room with an ice machine outside they are very loud are those machines!)
Beware though when we checked out we had a $2.50 a day resort fee to pay for the facilities in the hotel!
Oh and a tip the breakfast buffet next door to the hotel (the Great Western - formerly Western Steer) is much better value than the one in the hotel $3.99 and if you show the hotel room key they give you a 10 per cent reduction. It was clean the waitresses are excellent and very friendly and helpful and there was a lot of choice food wise.
Oh and if you like tv there was about 35 channels on our TV.
If you are staying there this year then based on our experience you should not worry too much.
