I am taking my 2 year old son to Disney World in October for his first visit. I want to take him to the Crystal Palace for the character breakfast. Does anyone know if they use milk in the preparation of food such as scrambled eggs? Butter in the grits or hashbrowns? Do they use peanut oil to fry with? Thanks alot!  :excited:

I don't know whether they use these things in cooking but i do know that disney will happily accommodate anyone with food allergies. Just let them know and they'll prepare something accordingly.

Disney's wonderful for dealing with food restrictions. I had breakfast at Tony's Town Square and it was a preplated meal. Out came french toast with berries - strawberries, blueberries and raspberries. I have a strawberry allergy so I asked the server for a portion plain because of this. Out came the chef to check what I could and could not eat. Quick as an eye I had a plate of plain toast, not a berry in sight

When you make your Advanced Dining Reservations, have the CM note on your reservation that you have food allergies in the party, and what they are. They will give you a phone number to call in advance to go over the restrictions with them. They can also send out a Chef to talk with you specifically about your requirements and food preparation. As JM noted, they do go the extra length to make sure you are well cared for.

As for what is in what, only the Chefs know for each restaurant, and it's best to go direct.
