No. There is no gambling on Disney cruise ships. At least that's what I've been told and what I've read.

No, why? It's a family-oriented cruise. There is bingo, I guess. But I don't consider that gambling.

If you check out the Disney Cruise website, they don't list gambling as one of the activities.

I have never been on a cruiseship that didn't have a casino. I just figured they all did. Most cruiselines promote themselves as family oriented, so just suprises me. Do they allow smoking on the Disney ships?

Smoking is allowed in certain restricted areas, I believe.
Some of the shorter cruises mention visiting casinos during a shore excursion - like on Nassau.

This will be my first cruise and I'm really looking forward to it. And since I don't gamble, I doubt I would have even visited the casino if they had one! I'll be too busy chasing down Mickey Mouse!!!! LOL

wdwgrandma is correct. There is definately no casino on any of the DCL ships.
Smoking is not allowed in your staterooms, although if you have an outside verandah then this is ok...just don`t throw your cigarette ends into the ocean as it`s not good for the marine life [apart from Puffer Fish that is! ]
On the "Wonder", you can smoke in the Cadillac Lounge, and it`s equivalent on the "Magic", where you can also enjoy a cocktail or three!
Anywhere on open decks is ok for smoking, although I am sure that there were fewer ashtrays around than on our earlier cruises...maybe Disney are trying hard to discourage it.

I'm pretty surprised too, I just thought ALL cruise ships had a casino. It makes sense though I suppose. Looks like those pics were at the Atlantis resort casino.

uscwest is right in that there is "family bingo" everynight at Wavebands.
That photograph of a Casino was taken at Atlantis.

I just wanted to add the only smoking onboard the ship is on the verandah of your room, and on Deck 4 & Deck 5 on the promenades, and on Deck 10, outside, outside of what SM lists. Deck 9 is off limits, too.

Can you request a room where the ones either side are non smoking too? I don't want to be sat on my verandah with a horrible smell of smoke coming from next door. Sorry if I have offended the smokers on here but the whole point of a verandah to me is fresh air and I just dont like the smell of cigarette or cigar smoke.
I'm not trying to say people can't or shouldn't smoke on the ship, I'm just trying to see if I can keep away from it - that way we're both happy :) .

I was wondering that too  Do smokers smoke on the verandahs in non-smoking staterooms? Surely the smell will waft back in and make the furniture smell?

All staterooms are non-smoking, so, there is no guarantee that the person next to you won't be a smoker. The question is not asked at booking, and yes, I can see where that would become a problem. I have not had a Guest complain at all, and when we cruised, I didn't run into smoke at all on the ship (my daughter is allergic, so I'm a bit of a narc about exposing her. My Mom smokes, too, so it's tough balancing)
I wish I had an answer for you...

Unfortunately I am a smoker Paula...[trying to give up Tink honest!], but whenever you go onto the verandah, it makes sense to close the patio door behind you to preserve the ac in the stateroom.
I always check that none of my "neighbours" are on their verandah when I light up.
Due to the motion of the ship [24knots at top "whack"], the smoke will inevitably only really affect your "neighbour" nearest the stern of the ship, and after then the smoke/smell is well dissapated.

Yes, but it's not on the ship! It's at one of the ports of call.
