I need a Christmas tree :D

We booked our room for Christmas and the CM said the usual anything else I can do for you? We jokingly said yes please, we'd like a Christmas tree magically fully decorated when we arrive and she said no problem, just call Disney Florist! :hehe:

So.......has anyone ever had one put in their room? I was wondering what that would cost? We probably won't have time to get one when we arrive (the 23rd), so we may take a small one with us but if DF can do one at a reasonable price, we won't bother. I need a Christmas tree! :xmas3:

Can you take a fiber optic tree on a plane? :hehe:

That was my original plan but i'm not sure we'll have time. We really only have Christmas Eve to get one.

You don't want to be in the stores on Christmas Eve. Trust me

I've found these prices but they are from christmas 2003 so they may of gone up since then.....

The prices for the artificial trees are as follows:
3ft. $200
6ft $500

Decorations included on the tree included garland, some ornaments (didn't give details on this) and the fiberoptic lights on the tree.

Comes with box for you to ship home. Extra fee to do this. Guest services does this for you.

Maybe shipping over one of your own would be better! That just seems very expensive.....

Maybe buy a small tree in the UK, should fit in a suitcase, they usually come in 2 pieces and leave it over there when departing - you'll need the space for your "bargains" by then! :D

Can't I just go and get you one from Walmart and leave it for you to pick up at check-in.
Give me a clue what you want and I'll happily get you one.

We did it in 1998. Bought a 3foot one from the Disney Florist for a daft price (£100 I think).

It was there in our apartment when we arrived and altho small it was beautiful.

We brought it home - the box is HUUUUGE. It comes out every year (we've replaced the US lights with UK ones). The decorations were glued on so they cant be moved, but that meant it travelled ok and still looks ok.

I couldnt be bothered with doing our own when we got there but we HAD to have a tree for Christmas! :D :D

I could always knock something modern and artistic together from Mickey pretzels. Do you think the kids would notice?

Paula,

I do a tree every year; packing and setting one up myself. It depends on the resort, what decor we do, but I'll be danged if I don't have one!!!

I think DC ordered one one year, too.

I think if you do a search, you'll find that DC did this and even posted a photo or two!
