Universal Hotels

We are thinking about possibly including a stay at one of the Universal Hotels, is there anywhere specific I should look for reservations??? I have been onto the main website and the prices are extorniate (sp?).

Any suggestions??

You can get good deals at the Universal Hotels. They show up on Expedia on a regular basis as well as on Hotelkingdom.com. They used to have entertainment rates. We got the Portofino for about $150./night. They also have an annual pass rate and the annual passes are pretty inexpensive. They used to have one that was just over $100. with some blackout dates.

I've stayed at the Potofino-a beautiful, elegant hotel and the Royal Pacific, equally as beautiful but smaller rooms. I thought the Royal Pacific was a little more child oriented. It was still lovely, just not as quiet as the Portofino. Customer service was excellent at both hotels. The staff went out of thier way to do little extras. I asked at the Royal Pacific desk if I could buy their handcream on site (they sold it at the Portofino in the gift shop). Ten minutes later, housekeeping came to our room with a zip lock bag filled with tubes.

Also if you stay, join the Loew's Club. It's free and entitles you to some little extras.

Lisa, we've booked Hard Rock Hotel for a few nights over Christmas - cos you get the benefits of express pass at this busy time.
It wasn't too bad I think it works out to about £350
