Just looking at a few things and piecing together a few ideas - anybody been this time of year?
Any dates to avoid? - weather lousy??
No firm ideas - just dreaming at this stage

Thanksgiving weekend is going to be busy. Earlier in the month will be a lot slower. Weather should still be in the mid-upper 70's with little-no rain

We went first 2 weeks Nov last year - it was the first time that we had been that late in the year. Were pleasantly surprised at how good the weather was. Had lots of warm sunshine. Although we actually quite missed the humidity, strange but true :)
Didn't seem any less busy than when we usually go in May though. Perhaps because of Halloween & Food/Wine Festival.

Avoid the last week as JM said if you don't want to encounter crowds.
Weather? Beautiful. My parents live here in Orlando and the first two weeks in November and all of February are the only times of the year when they will go to the parks.
Clear, sharp days, mid to hi-70's during the day, low-50's hi-40's at night, low crowds... the best time of the year IMO

If I went at all in November & wanted to avoid crowds it would probably be the last week in November after Thanksgiving holiday weekend. It's usually pretty quiet then. There is so much going on in November. It used to be our favorite time of year to go & we have been during this month a lot. But you have the week when Jersey is out of school & a lot of people come down from there, I think it's the 1st week but not sure at all. Plus you have Food & Wine Festival. And when is the Soap Weekend? Can't remember if that's when we go in Nov. or in June but I'm thinking Nov. November just ain't what it used to be to me. Still better than summer any day of the week!

We actually like to arrive on Thanksgiving Eve and then stay for about 10 days. This gets us our Thanksgiving Dinner at WDW and then we get to see all of the Christmas Decorations. We never go to the parks on Thanksgiving Day. And the crowds have never been THAT BAD.

November is a wonderful time to visit WDW! As John mentioned, we like to go for Thanksgiving (4th Thursday in Nov) and stay through the first week of Dec. This gives us the opportunity to attend MVMCP a couple of times, see the Candlelight Processional, and enjoy the way WDW decorates its parks and resorts in beautiful holiday wrappings!
The crowds aren't bad (like he said, tho, we don't visit the parks on Thanksgiving Day), the weather is usually pretty nice, and it's DISNEY!!!!!!

Hi there, we went to Florida last November 3rd - 17th, the weather was in the 80's, we had one day with light drizzle, no thunder storms at all,
The longest queue we had was 45 minutes & that was for Thunder Mountain.
It was brilliant. I have been previously (20 years ago) in August & as you can imagine the queues were terrible. November is a great time to go.!!!!!!!!!1

Everything was completely decorated when I arrived on November 30th last year. There may have been the odd tweak or final detail to be added, but nothing any of us would catch!
I think they pretty much appear *magically* during Thanksgiving weekend--with a lot of hard work from the CMs! If my Thanksgiving holiday plans hold, I'll find out this year. I'm planning to be there November 19th - November 28th.

Are the parks less busy the day after Thanksgiving?
A lot of people taking advantage of Black Friday sales?

Hi Taja,
That whole weekend is pretty busy, just was hoping they'd choose that weekend to go so I could meet them. :D

I know a couple of people have said it wasn't busy for them around Thanksgiving but I cannot stress enough just how busy it was when we were there twice at that time. Worse than the crowds we've experienced on our June trips. Thanksgiving Day & the day after are horrid. The weekends, as I recall, were not very pleasant at all. Not until the MOnday following Thanksgiving have the crowds thinned out. I have chosen to start my vacation early Dec. this year so that it's pretty certain Thanksgiving crowds will be gone. Problem is schools are out all over the US so this allows families to visit & there kids only miss a few days rather than a week. Very busy!
