Oh please. :D You KNOW that's the truth. I have all three cameras at the ready. :D

All of you will be the FIRST to know. It's supposed to be opening any time now. Having a hard time believing that given the state of the building, but hey, you never know.

Watch this space. :D Or one just like it. :hehe:

Hey Red, I'll try to check it out in Oct/Nov, but I don't have your phone number and not even sure I could dial it from my cell phone if I did. PM it to me.

Joanne just posted this amongst other stuff to look forward to...

Irish Hospitality and a Bit of Blarney Come to Downtown Disney
Raglan Road, an authentic Irish pub and restaurant featuring the best of Irish food, flair, heritage and entertainment, has opened at Downtown Disney. Traditional and contemporary Irish music, storytelling and dance help create a lively social ambience. Dinner reservations are available by calling 407/WDW-DINE.

Can I take it that it is now open then :)

No, it's not open yet, Isafari. Appears to be a long way from being open still. No walls, wires hanging all over the place, plastic up for some cover from the rain, that sort of thing.

We'll just have to wait and see just how Irish it is, eh? :D

Well it finally opened yesterday! :excited:

I stopped in for just a short visit today. The place is really nice. There is a shop, a take away counter service area, and several different areas of the pub proper (including two outdoor seating areas).

I saw several choices from the menu being served. All looked nicely prepared and well served. The bars were nice, dark wood and comfortable seating, as was the dining area. The booths are the sort that are intimate and not just plunked down along the wall. There seemed to be ample help on hand (although the barkeeps could use a little more training).

There is no extra cold tap, but then I didn't truly expect that. They have a full bar, complete with Irish whiskey and the Guinness as well as several others on tap.

I tried a Dalkey's sausage appetizer. It was served nicely, was hot, and the sauce was quite tasty.

I'll be back for a proper dinner (but wasn't a bit hungry for it since I was stopping by after a tour of the Food and Wine Festival) hopefully sometime soon.

I can see why it took so long to get up and running. It is very detailed inside and has the look of hand crafting throughout.

It's open from 3:00 pm until 2:00 am and serving dinners/food until 11:00 pm.

Well worth a stop by if you are at DTD! (No need to pay to enter PI to visit this pub).
