Im thinking about taking some teabags in my suitcase when i go next week. Ive never done this before, but i got a little fed up with the taste of tea there last time i thought i would try taking my own.
I know your not really supposed to take food in USA, has anyone else done this before without problems?
thanks in advance, Dawn

The thing you cant buy that tastes any good is Bread! they sell loads of different types, Milk bread, Honey bread French style bread etc etc, it all tastes sweet to me:shrug:
just cant get a decent loaf there, funny that Asda and Walmart are the same company because Asda makes my fav bread, Tiger bread!!!!! if only in the USA.
(off to Asda for me bread now)

S'matter with our tea and bread? :D
You can get Twinings tea in Publix. I get Irish Breakfast loose tea in tins there.
Good bread. Well now. That is a challenge, but there is the White Mountain bread at the Publix bakery that will do nicely for toast. If you are willing to travel, there is a fantastic bakery in Yalaha. They have true grain bread there, sturdy and not overly sweet (I know what you mean by the sweet taste).
There is one brand (and of course I can't think of the name now, Nature's Own maybe) available at Walmart and Publix (and possibly other shops) that carries a type of bread that is sugar free. It is a soft (not sturdy and chewy) multi grain loaf that is quite nice.

I find that that the freshly baked bread is nice, especially when spread with jam for breakfast and washed down with proper English tea :)

Oh isn't it great with nice Irish butter:)
The price of British tea in Kissimmee is terrible, We always have a box of PGtips packed in the suitcase.
On our first visit to Walmart192 of each holiday, I always buy the wrong milk. I think I'm always in amazement at the size of the place and get fuddled.
I've just discovered Sainsburys sell root beer. Yep not to everyones taste, but theres always a softdrink in the house, because the kids won't touch the stuff:blush:

I thought bread was supposed to be light and fluffy, guess I'd have to bring bread and tea to UK if I came there. He He. Just like I take Diet Coke when I go to Mexico.

Are you allowed to take food & drink onto the plane, as long as you eat it and dont take it into orlando airport with you?? Such as soft drinks in plastic bottles, crisps, sandwich, chocolate etc... ?

We always take a few teabags, Marmite, and some English mustard.
The other things we remember to bring are a few coffee filters and dishwasher tablets. Not that we can't get them at Publix or wherever, but it seems daft buying a whole box when we only get through maybe 10 of them in a fortnight.
