Hi, the following was part of an email from my friends who flew out on thursday from Gatwick on the midday TCD flight (they had an air atlanta plane)

"Well u were right about the Plane, not sure what
Antique Shop was that they dug it up from, I think it
was one of the first boeing 747 ever made, still it
got us here with only half hour delay."

So the plane was antique but it didn't ruin the start of their holiday and with only half hour delay thats got to be something!!!

Only 5 weeks and 3 days and we are on the same flight and they tell me it is a new TCD plane - yeah right pull the other one it has bells on

Hope this gives a tiny little spark of hope to all those of us that have yet to go with the dreaded TCD

thanks, its such a pity we booked with TCD as I am not looking forward to it as much as I usually do, I keep telling myself that its only 18 hours ish of the holiday that TCD have us over a barrell but as its a fairly important barrel I am not convincing myself too well :(

They have a lot to answer for really, they obviously don't care that they are ruining thousands of peoples hard earned holidays - who ever said "...you get what you pay for..." must have flown with TCD/Air Atlanta :hehe:

2006 VIRGIN HERE I COME :wiggle:

PS why can't' I spell "barrel" is it 1 "l" or 2:confused:

Hi, We've just returned from a 2 week holiday to Orlando. We booked with Travel City Direct and had an Air Atlanta plane flying from Manchester. No delays outbound, but had a 6 hour delay coming home. Don't know the reason why, but we were given $8 each food voucher and told about the delay at check-in. Time passed quite quickly and it didn't seem too bad, although I would have been upset if the delay was on our way out to Florida.

The plane we had was fine and the cabin crew were really friendly both ways- only complaint would be that the toilets were rather pongy on our outbound journey, so tried not to go too often! Had the same plane both ways and the same seats. Loads of leg room, but talking to the lady in the seats infront of us on our return journey she said that they had paid £70 each for extra leg room seats. We hadn't paid any extra or asked for extra leg room so we must just have been lucky.

Food was ok- 1 hot meal and 1 cold snack type. Only came round a couple of times with drinks, but we asked for 3 soft drinks each at a time and they gave them to us quite happily (could have alcoholic ones if you wanted) and then just went to the galley area and asked for more when we wanted it.

Travel City reps were at Sanford when we landed and directed us to Dollar car pick-up. Also a rep left a message on the hotel phone inviting us to the welcome meeting but we didn't go because every day was already full in the itinerary.
Had an absolutely fantastic holiday. This was our third trip to Florida and our second with Travel City direct. I was abit concerned after reading some of the threads about them on here, but we were really pleased with everything and I would be quite happy to go with them again (if we can ever save up enough money for a 4th trip!)

Thank GOD....
I've been papping myself with all the poor press that they have been having lately. We are going with them next weekend. I've just bought mt daughter a DVD player & loads of books to keep her entertained. I will be filling my hand lugguage with snacks & drinks in case they dont come round that often. I dont really fancy fitting myself up with a catheter, so i will just have to block my nose!:rotfl:
