Does anyone know if you can carry butane gas straightners in your checked luggage. As i know you can no longer carry gas lighters.
Many thanks.

As far as I remember you can, but you can't take a gas refill. To make sure go to the website for your carrier and that should list what you can and can't take and where it should be packed.

You are probably best ringing First Choice after the bank holiday to find out for definite. In my leaflet which I got with my Airtours flight tickets on Friday, it quotes "The following items are not permitted in your hand luggage or suitcase - Gas refills for gas powered hair appliances."

Many thanks. I will take my brush that straigtens hair as you dry it. Hard work but better than nothing. If all fails than will tie it back.

To be honest, the straightener just about keeps my fringe & side bits under control & mine is usually tied back & under a baseball hat within an hour as the humidity causes the curls to reappear as if by magic. During a similar post last year. a lot of the ladies were saying the same thing.

Thanks Katie. You are right. We have had a few warm days down here in Cornwall and within an hour of being out it starts to frizz. At least nobody knows me.
