I called disney dining today to make sure all our dining ADR had noted our DD diet restrictions, and to let them know we will be celebrating DS 8th birthday at chef mickey and our annv. at LeCellier ..... however when she got to CRT (this is on the last morning we are at WDW) she said the seating is only for 4 people where as all our other ADR are for 6 people (there are 6 in our family ) uh-oh I asked her if when we show up for the seating can I just tell the CM of the mix-up and we would have to wait for a table for 6? She was certain we would not be admitted and that there was no way we would be seated and that I just better pick which 4 of our family would be eating!! She was right on the edge of rudeness. I thanked her for the info waited a few minutes and called back got an different CM and and they said just give it a shot and explain there was a booking error. NOw I dont know what to do - make a back up dining ADR just in case we are not allowed in PLUS would I be charged the no show fee!! :(

how rude is that! pick which 4 members can eat?

I reckon you should phone back, ask, heck insist, to speak to a manager and complain loudly about the way you've been treated. Seriously I think her attitude has given you some leverage.

Other than that, I'd definitely have another ADR in reserve because if that place is full, and they seem to be VERY good at filling every single seat in that room, then it may simply be a case of no room at the inn :/ even if they WANTED to be nice and seat you all they may not be able to.

Obviously if you can't get it resolved, you should turn up and look horrified at the podium when they say 4 but much better to try and get it sorted in advance if you can :(

Re. the no show fee, it'll definitely be something to be very careful about. If you DO get turned away on the day, whilst you're looking incredibly disappointed, thats something to bring up. The LEAST they can do is make sure you don't get charged.

I would also go to a supervisor, or Guest Services. Have you paid a deposit on 6 people? I also suggest having a back-up ADR, but definately show up and talk to them.

I had thought about the show up and looking horrified  what do you mean only 4 of us can eat  ..... however the poor CM standing there at the podium really had nothing to do with the mix up and if the room is booked full there really would not be anything they could do so what I have done is called back once again -- I thought if I kept calling I might get someone who would say sure show up no problem  yeah well that did not happen however the last CM was so very helpful and basically said they can fit a certain number of people in and it would not be a matter of pulling a few chairs up and squeezing us in but we do have a backup for Chef Mickeys which i thought i had cancelled when I got the CRT that someone had cancelled -- but it seems that not only did I not cancell chef mickey at some point I made another one for that morning --we had two PS for the same time at chef mickeys  I have way too many PS if I am calling and double booking. I am a bit disappointed but we were lucky to get a cancellation for a CRT lunch so it would not be like we did not get to eat in the castle the whole trip. I am trying to have a happy attitude. However I am going to call or write about the pick 4 of you to eat attitude - that was just uncalled for! I have the back up at chef mickeys so hopefully I can find a cancellation between now and the time we go! I do plan to make sure I dont get a no show fee!!

Just from experience, for whatever it's worth, you get a lot further with Disney if you call them as soon as you can after the problem and ask immediately for a supervisor/manager.

If you write, you tend to get a "sorry you felt like she was being rude, clearly it wasn't intentional" blah blah type reponse.

If you phone and ask to speak to someone higher up and give them a way out they often take it just to fix things up.

ie. "1st problem, you mis booked for the most important meal of my disney trip! 2nd problem, your staff were rude and unhelpful to me. How you can help me? book my full party into crt"

Have you paid a deposit on 6 people?

If so, perhaps you have a creditcard document with the amount shown on it?

That is really useful advice from Keith. (You could quote the amount of deposit that you paid.)

Oh no, not another problem for you!!!!!

I would definately ask to speak to a manager, it was clearly their fault as all of your other bookings are for 6 people. And with it being a special occasion, and the rudeness of that CM, you might be in luck.

Someone must have sent a truckload of pixie dust my way :Pixiedust: I called today and asked about our CRT mix up seating for 4 instead of 6 the CM was very nice and offered to check the rest of the time we are there ( was thinking yeah sure there will be an opening for 6 at CRT) and OH MY GOODNESS  there is an opening for another day!! Got that all booked, had a Crystal Palace 8am booking the same day so moved that to another morning same time ( I like to get a early booking in the MK on regular entry time days so we have the park when there is hardley anyone there it is so nice and great pictures too).

We have had our share of problems with bookings, ADR, room rates, when we are going and I wont even go into the whole AP nightmare of being locked out of those rates when they went to the new booking system  but each and every one of those bumps in the road has worked out for us!!

I cancelled a CRT on Friday 10/7 9:50am seating for 4 if anyone is looking for that!!
