Hey all!

Looking for some opinions on this resort:unsure: Here's the story.....

....back in March I booked a weekend stay in Oct. at the WL. Being that it is a weekend stay and we are currently points poor with our DVC pts:whistle: we opted to pay cash for this weekend stay but we were really counting on the FL res. discount to come out. Well, the FL res. code came out and not only have they had nothing at WL but not much elsewhere either:rolleyes: I ended up moving the ressie over to POFQ but haven't been able to obtain the discount there either and am currently paying rack rate:( $149 per night plus tax.....it's just eating me up inside having to pay rack rate! I can't switch my dates either because we've already bought our MNSSHP tickets for that weekend and my ds has that friday off from school. Anyway, being that we don't have the $$ to just throw around, I'm toying with the idea of staying elsewhere (non-Disney) and spending less $$. Was checking out the link here on this board for the Radisson and they not only have a decent rate per night but a package to get a day in over at Universal for us all -- according to the info. I'm getting, we can not only stay there for less $$ and it seems to have a nice pool and newly referbished rooms but the total package includes the room, breakfast both days, and a full day of Universal for us all and for FQ....it will cost almost the same amount of $$ without breakfast and theme park tickets:eek: The only extra cost would be an extra childs ticket which is no more than if we add the cost of breakfast if we stay at FQ:shrug:

So.....who's stayed there? Is it as good as it seems to sound? Will I hate not being at a Disney owned resort? Disney is just making my stomache turn having to pay rack rates:sigh:

TIA for any and all info.

:overhere: I have. It's quite a while since we stayed there, but the location was good, literally minutes from Disney and the pools/jacuzzi's were great, rooms spacious and nicely decorated (I believe it has had a makeover since we stayed too). I wouldn't hesitate to stay there at the prices they're offering. It very much has a resort feel once you're through the gates. Nice and peaceful with lakes and fountains. We really enjoyed our stay there.
