Switch / Maestro Cards ???

My boyfriend has a Switch / Maestro card and he's wondering whether he'll be able to use it whilst in orlando. Has anyone ever used their switch card over there??? :unsure: I know that he wont have any problems with visa cards or mastercard, but not sure about switch :shrug:

sorry HM no idea about switch, i had visa out there, now have visa and mastercard, never had a switch tho. someone will know :)

So long as the card has a Maestro [or Cirrus] logo on it, then it will be ok to use it at those outlets /cash points which display that symbol.

i have used my switch card in ATM's as long as it has the cirrus symbol on it

I used my solo card for the cash machines. they ask for your 6 digit number but put your usual 4 digit number in and that will be ok!! - but before you go notify your bank that you will be using your card just in case they stop it, i did not use the card over the counter - hope this helps

Thankyou everyone for the tips :D I've told him what everyone has said and he's gonna transfer the money to his visa card, just to be on the safe side :thumbs:

nope never used it over the counter, but with switch changing to maestro i reckon in a few years you will be able to use your card anywhere
