Thanksgiving is always the 4th Thursday in November. The parks will be totally decked out at that time

Probably not much Wes. I can tell you that at the moment the Osborne Lights are still hanging up  you may see touches here and there but nothing major

They do start the resorts in early November, and Osborne seems to be a permanent project.
JM, did you see if they were finished and possibly decking out Chicago street at all?

Umm JM, when did they move Thanksgiving? It is ALWAYS the 4th Thursday, not the 3rd Thursday in November. :) This year Thanksgiving falls on Nov 24th.

Decorations for Christmas seem to go up earlier and earlier every year. The big events, like the lighting of the Christmas tree and Archway at EPCOT are reserved for after Thanksgiving, but many areas are decorated before then.
Gone are the amazing and awe inspiring days of when WDW was magically decorated overnight on Thanksgiving. :(
But it does make it nice for folks who can't be there at or after Thanksgiving. At least you will get to see some of the decorations.

Thanks USC - Brain wasn't functioning well yesterday :D
Bigboybrian - the picture is Tedy Bruschi of the New England Patriots, winner of three of the last four Super Bowls.
Mac - I just noticed as Mister E and I were walking to the stunt show that the lights were still up and for some reason that bothered me. I'll look I'll double check the area in a couple weeks

JM, I think they are in the process of going up - they weren't there when I was there in February and July. I find them horribly ugly in the daytime, unlike Residential Street during the day of the old Osborne Lights.

I was irritated to see them up in September to tell you the truth. They're ugly and take away from photos you'd take there during the day

Does anyone know when the Christmas decorations come down. I am planning a trip in January?

Hi there, we are going on 7th November too! We are going with Virgin from Gatwick and staying in the All Stars Music hotel. I can't believe it's only just over 3 weeks now.
