I believe that there is a character meal at one of the restaurants in Portofino bay Hotel as well. I am not sure about tours. I know you can upgrade to a VIP for a price and have a private tour guide taking you in the back way to all the rides.

There is a character meal on Friday nights at the Traittoria at the Portofino Bay Hotel. Scooby Doo and Woody Woodpecker have been there both times we've been there. There is also tiramisu on the buffet. Alysia thought she had died and gone to Heaven.

we did the confisco grille buffet character breakfast last time, it was great fun, my marvel mad 6yr old got to play with spidey, wolverine, the cat in the hat and others, however my 2 yr old daughter was terrified of all of them so i had to eat my breakfast in the lobby with her:rolleyes: the characters were up for fun and spent time having their pictures taken and signing autographs whilst staying in perfect character, it was definately worth it.

We've done the character breakfast at the Confisco Grill twice. The food isn't as good as Disney, but the guy who plays Spiderman is out of this world. He stays at the table and talks to the kids and does great poses for photos. I was afraid he was going to hurt himself a couple of times.
We also ate at one of the restaurants at the Royal Pacific and were surprised to see Woody Woodpecker and Curious George visit our table. We didn't even know it was a character restaurant.
