1. Are there mini-fridge in all the rooms
2. I heard there are some newer rooms, how can I get one, or should I?
3. How are the day beds for a child who is 10 years old to sleep on. Big ennough? Comfy?

Maya,
1. Yes, there are dorm sized refrigerators in the rooms.
2. Yes, there are some newer rooms already in use; you can request one, but it would be a request only. They seem rather nice, so it's up to you what you would like.
3. The daybeds should be large enough for a 10 year old. They are mattress type base made up into a daybed with cushions. We've not used the Poly daybeds, but others on property and my kids have always enjoyed. :D

Thanks mickymac. I guess my question is: is there any "down side" to the new roooms. like a bad location or something?

Personally I don't think there are any 'bad' locations at The Poly, each building has pluses IMO. It depends on whether you would like to be near the GCH or the TTC, we like to be in the middle of both in Tokelau but that will probably be the last building to be done. When are you going Maya? if you do a search, we have a photo of the new rooms on here somewhere, I *really* like them! :D
Just found it for you http://www.wdisneyw.com/forums/showthread.php?t=38917&highlight=polynesian+rooms

I think our main goal is to be able to walk to the TTC. So which building works best for that?
And, what are there alot of new rooms at the building closest to the TTC.
BTY, I LOVED the look of the new rooms.

Rapa Nui and Tahiti are nearest the TTC. I think Rapa Nui has already completed renovations and Tahiti should be done by mid November according to the latest internet rumours. We are staying there in October and hoping for a newly renovated room. I'll be armed with my info at check-in! :D
You can see a map of the resort here (http://www.wdisneyw.co.uk/polymap.html)

We were there in Tahiti this past May. The room hadn't been renovated yet, but they were renovating the balcony railings while we were there, so that might have been the start of renovating. I liked the fact that Tahiti was close to TTC because of the monorail to Epcot. We like walking anyway, so it doesn't matter where they put us.
I don't know if this has changed since our stay Mickeymac, but we had to request a mini-refrigerator if we wanted one. We didn't because we used our ice chest to keep our drinks cold.

I took a trip out in August to see the new rooms before they open. They are still not open as of last week and the first to open will be the 1st and 3rd floor of Rapa Nui with work continuing on the 2nd floor. Fiji, Niue and Tuvalu are being worked on now. No new rooms have been occupied to this point. For info and a tentative schedule go to the link.

The rooms do not all have refrigerators in them until the new room is completed. If you want a refrigerator you can get one by request for free (first come first serve). The refrigerator you request is much smaller than the one in the new room. You can see photos of both on my room page.

The original daybed is about the size of a twin and the new daybed will fold out and be larger than the original daybed that is in the room now but both have slept adults before.

Okay, we are going around Thanksgiving and hopefully some new rooms will be ready.
So my new question is: How do I request a room (phone letter fax) and when. What is the best way to try to get my request filled???

Thanks, Steve. That's great about the refrigerators. I can't wait to stay in one of the new rooms at my favorite resort.
