stop thread notification?

While on holiday I dont want my email box to explode, so how would I go about not having email that a new post on a thread I responded to notification??? Since I cant seem to help myself in offering up my opinions I get lots of email from the site :D

In User CP you can unsubscribe from individual threads or all of the threads. I was trying to figure out how to keep just a few of many, but couldn't do it in a way that made sense.

You also can set your CP not to subscribe to threads--you have to do each one individually in the posts. And then you can set the type of notification--by post, daily, etc. The ones that I've subscribed to (longer term) I chose daily notification.
