Universal has several options.

Stay on-site and you get front of the line access with your room key. Awesome perk!

Regular express pass which is the same as Disney's Fast Pass

Express Pass Plus- you pay money and get a booklet of fastpasses. One for each ride that's covered.

Universal's fast passes get used up as quickly as Disney's! Just a heads up.

Hi Johnie, do you know how much the express pass plus is.

it depends on the time of year. Busy times it is more expensive than slow times

In July and August, we've found the lines for the big attractions to be longer than those at Disney. It's not uncommon for waits of 90 - 120 minutes at Shrek. Most of the other attractions have lines of 60 minutes. At IOA, the biggies like Spiderman can have waits of 120 minutes! Get the Express passes when you can!

Hi Johnie, do you know how much the express pass plus is.

As JM states, it depends on the time of year. We went in what's considered value season and they wanted over $30 per person for a pass. I think not. The lines weren't even that long!

It can often work out cheaper staying one night in one of the resort hotels, we did this at Hard Rock Hotel, and then for one nights stay you get 2 full days of fastpass on all the rides.

We did Mummy ride from start of queue, riding the ride, through the shop and back round to the front again to have another go in 12 minutes each time...

Plus the hotel is awesome !!!!!!!!!!!!!:) :)

Staying at the on site hotels and using the room key is wonderful. We stayed at the Hard Rock last year, just for two nights at the end of our two weeks, just to get the fast pass. My duaghter and I did Dueling Dragons about six times in under half an hour and that was in August.

You can get two full days in the park on one nights hotel stay, as you can book in early in the morning, go to the park, then back to the hotel to get your room in late afternoon. Then check out next morning, but you keep your room keys all day.

Were doing the same in October and probably will do the same for our future trips.

So this express pass plus. Can you use the pass for more then one time on the ride per ride, or just once per ride:confused:

It's supposed to be just once per ride.

We are staying on site at USF next month (SOON TO BE THIS MONTH!!!). So we really can just jump to the front of the line without waiting for a time allotment? Or is it like WDW Fast pass? I've heard both, but I am confused which is correct.

If you are staying on-site at Universal, you will get to go to the express pass lane and by pass the regular lines. You can go as often as you want. It is an excellent perk.

Apparently you can use the room key to bypass the lines at the City Walk restaurants as well. I haven't tried that first hand.

yep, just go to the fast pass area and show your key, they swipe it at a few rides. This even includes the fear factor shows.

We went on the mummy 5 fives in one stint, well under an hour in total. which was what some people were queuing for just one ride.

Defo worth it.

We used it at NBA restuarant to get preferred seating times as well.

I loved it there and the perks, it makes everything very laid back and not feeling like you have to rush all the time.

Cant wait till my return to Hard Rock Hotel, my youngest said he wanted to live there
